Amphibious vehicle

There is a race called the Human Powered Kinetic Sculpture Race that colleges put on around the country. It’s sort of like engineering department meets the theater department and this what the kids look like.

The peddle powered vehicles must traverse water, land, and through mud.
I built a fiberglass shell for an entry, but the college hasn’t got it finished yet. I’m very interested in computer drafting and would like to talk to other interested people so I’m posting the drawings I made of the design.

My part in the effort was to make the fiberglass shell so the drawings are for the boat part of the vehicle only.

Our semi-lame art deco-modern Jetson like craft.

Yes we took our not-ready-yet-project and brought it anyway just to buzz around on the water and check out the guys that actually had their act together. Hey even if you are not done a guys got to have some fun anyway!

Everybody else had fantastic creations that were actually in the race.

Here are a few links to web sites about the Human Powered Kinetic Sculptor Race.

I'm kind of new at this and will have to find out how to link sites the real way!
